Bathing Beauties Festival
Join us at the 2013 Festival Launch Event in Sutton on Sea on Friday between 5pm and 8pm for an evening of music, stalls and entertainment. The Festival starts on Saturday from 10am in Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea. Please see the What's On page for more details.
The beach, the promenade and the beach huts come alive during the Festival with amazing creative experiences. The beach huts are turned into mini art and craft galleries. The beach becomes the perfect canvas and backdrop for contemporary art installations, sculpture and much more. The three mile promenade from Mablethorpe to Sutton on Sea is filled with an array of weird and wonderful performances and inter-active activities for all ages.
Follow the "Bathing Beauties Beach Hut Trail" along the promenade to view the original "Bathing Beauty Beach Huts" (more information on the Bathing Beauties page) and for the more serious coastal art and architecture fans you can follow "The Structures on the Edge" trail down to Anderby creek taking in the new "bird hide hut" and the "Cloud Bar" viewing platform.
The festival is free to attend and made possible by it's funders and sponsors. This is one of the busiest weekends of the year and there are a number of advertising opportunities available which include advertising within the Festival brochure, advertising on the Festival website and/or sponsoring an artist or activity during the Festival weekend. To advertise at this established and busy Festival contact the Festival Manager, Karen Froggatt on 07917 628171 or firstname.lastname@example.org
The Festival is organised by the Mablethorpe Area Partnership
